Monica Johnson:
Monica has been in the grooming industry for 5 years now, and is very comfortable will all breeds. Her favorite breeds to work on are terriers, and she loves doing breed patterns. In addition, she is also very proficient at hand scissoring, and loves to show off her skills on Poodles, Pomeranians, and Bichons. Also, having helped out with puppy mill and rescue dogs, she’s very confident working with pets in all conditions, from extremely matted, to fearful and anxious. Monica is also a friend to the felines, and is very experienced with cat grooming. She continues to attend groom expos to stay current on her knowledge of techniques and new products. Her personal goals are to compete in grooming and is currently working towards becoming a Certified Master Groomer.
Monica is a dog lover to her very core, and is at her happiest when surrounded by many of her furry friends. She has fostered two dogs and is looking forward to fostering more in the future. She also is a voice for the animals in the local animal rights community and regularly volunteers for ARFF [Animal Rights Foundation of Florida]. She is most passionate about the stop the puppy mills campaign and helped out with a puppy mill raid in February of this year. In fact, she loves all animals so much, that she gave up eating animal products/bi products last august, and is actively vegan.
Monica loves the environment that Teena and the rest of the staff at Doglando has created for the dogs, and is super excited to be included in this team. Upon taking a tour, she realized that this place was created with nothing but the dog in mind, and immediately felt at home. There isn’t a furry friend out there that Monica doesn’t love, and can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend in the near future.
